Simulation

Reason ignites curiosity to perceive life’s illusion. Eventually, a deeper understanding emerges... This knowledge fosters well-being and drives positive change, giving each day purpose. It’s the key to financial wellness, clear thinking, and time freedom.
The man made of thought knows the flesh and bone that birthed him.

A photon.

A photon hitting your retina.

The photon is absorbed by an electron within an atom of the retina. It gains power. Becomes excited.

Too much for it, so it gets rid of that extra charge by emitting a new photon, a different one but imbued with the information from the previous brief exchange. The process is repeated over and over again with the more than five quintillion atoms that make up the neural portion of the eye, your eyes.

This cascade of interactions traverses the tens of millions of neurons in your nervous system until it reaches the brain.

The chain of reactions caused by that single particle will never stop.

We are talking about a single corpuscle interacting with something that he perceives as part of his body. Multiply by the number of photons comprising each frame of his life, and then by the duration your eyes remain open.

Every millisecond of your life, from the moment you were born, the process repeats itself endlessly.

Other senses on a nanoscopic scale can be described in a similar way.

Somehow this whole dance ends up generating what you know as your world, colors, smells, sounds, and tactile sensations. The flavor and texture of your morning coffee are not real characteristics of the objects that started all that paraphernalia but of the universe. the one you inhabit, simulated by your psyche.

We are probably not a brain in a bathtub but the truth is that our reality is still a simulation. A simulation replicated from different points of perspective.

And although, for practical purposes in everyday life, it is more convenient to forget this fact It is also true that in the most pressing moments, when it is almost inevitable not to perceive this illusion, is precisely when it would be most worthwhile to take the 10,000-foot view, in fact even the point from such a high distance still belongs to the ordinary world, the one created by your mind.

What is all this about in the context of a newsletter that talks about business and personal development?

Well, probably a hundred conditions that led you to sit at your desk for n-number of hours a day to help build the dreams and projects of third parties, have pervasively attached many variables of that simulation.

You could think, it doesn't really matter if everything around us, the people and things, are just parts of a big simulation. Outside, there are things and people making them, and It's of no significance if, at their core, they don’t truly exhibit the wonderful, or not so wonderful, traits we perceive.

And in some ways, there is some truth in that. But a lot, almost all of the burden that these entities, sentient and non-sentient, have on your person, I assure you, is borne more by the simulated aspect than by what they really are in the context of the universe.

And realizing this, initially from the intellect, even if it seems impossible to tear down the walls of perception that separate you from "real reality." It is a great leap you can take to begin the process that frees you from a mediocre reality.

The exasperation of the project owner when he sees that Friday has arrived and certain features are still far from being completed.

When you see your balance shrink after each bill, especially the unexpected ones, it's like the irritation doesn’t just stay with you, it spreads, making it feel like the whole world is just as frustrated, a subtle hint that our feelings often paint our view of the world around us.

Recurring frustration, anger, and apathy in personal interrelations are indeed coloring your days.

If you have a second of lucidity, and you have surely had it more than once, you have been able to see that the entire universe seems to have a particular tint before each of these not-so-gratifying eventualities.

Something that particularly happens at the same moment that you hit rock bottom, is when you feel that, regardless of how much you do or make an effort, you can no longer free yourself from the situation.

This is the right time to switch things up, but it almost never happens the first time you hit a brick wall. Other times, it just switches back to survival mode at this exact point, starting the cycle all over again, maybe without end. This would be the perfect time to change paths, but change almost never comes.

Some implications

  • You live in a simulation but indeed you are also the mechanism where that simulation runs.
  • You decide, or at least you are programmed to, narrow down your limits to the part you identify as 'your body'. The body is imagined by the simulation process.
  • Playing, at least on the "brain" level with the idea of affecting things outside that limit can almost seem like an invitation to madness.
  • Carrying out this practice soberly avoids this inconvenience.
  • Performing this practice soberly avoids this inconvenience and helps to "unclog the escape hatch."
  • Interesting things happen when one, no longer on the plane of the imagination, begins to govern outside the limits of the body, the imagined and accepted one.
  • In some way, there is a real interaction between one's own simulation and those created by each of the others.
  • It can only be verified empirically through observation. At some point, it becomes evident that certain results cannot only be attributed to chance.
  • Of course, all this opens the door to psychopathy if the process is not executed with the appropriate personal disposition.
  • This is avoidable for those who really want to do the right and inevitable for those who succumb to controlling others anyway.
  • A plan is required, practice to jump to reality...

Engaging the ejection mechanism

Unclutter your personal space

No, this is not an invitation to personal asceticism.

If the outcome of this series of modifications in your life brings you closer to success, you can later decide whether you still want to reside in the most modest of tiny houses or, conversely, if you prefer your life to unfold among yachts, penthouses, and paradisiacal islands.

We need to eliminate all distractions, especially people who bring about stress and tension, triggering deeply ingrained negative patterns. Do not persist in allowing such individuals in your life even a single day longer.

Solitude is also very fruitful during the period that leads you to break the shell.

The more your environment resembles a tatami, the better.

Having fewer distractions helps us more easily disconnect from the senses that tie us to this convincing illusion.

But also your schedule

I assume you have a job that provides you with varying degrees of satisfaction if any at all. The truth is, it likely occupies a substantial portion of your day, perhaps even a third. Then, of course, you need to allocate time for sleep and attend to a couple of other necessities that currently demand your attention.

We must refine our actions so that the precious few hours that remain serve us in cultivating the character that brings us closer to freedom. True freedom eludes us as long as the illusory nature of that simulation becomes commonplace in our lives.

I want to emphasize that I'm not referring to the mental gymnastics that enable you to rationally discern its nature, but rather the complete conscious realization of it.

I recommend that you cancel all your subscriptions to audiovisual content for now. It's fine to engage with informative content related to your curiosities as long as it doesn't demand hours of your attention, but it's not obligatory either. It's especially advisable to avoid it in the morning, anyway.

Video games too. A simulation within a simulation is not desirable at all. We want to peel back layers, not add more.

Raves, parties, extravagant outings, or even more commonplace ones when they no longer produce anything meaningful, get rid of them.

The time you spend at the usual coffee shop after your daily walk, however, can be a great time for introspection or assimilating high-quality material that could help you transcend the illusory wall.

Three is acceptable, two is better and one is ideal

It's not uncommon for those who aspire, if not to escape the burdens of their current world, at least to break free from the routines that subordinate them to others, to hold a multitude of curiosities and interests. When these interests are well nurtured, they can become the rabbit hole that leads to liberation.

However, there's a drawback. The more interests they have, the less time they'll have to master them—especially to reach a level of proficiency that allows them to cultivate a secondary pursuit. This secondary endeavor, as it gradually develops, can free them from the constant need to refine their CV or stay constantly alert for job listings.

So you're going to have to make a big sacrifice, select three, if possible two, ideally just a single one. I emphasize this: ensure that only one activity remains on your list if possible, an activity that becomes your strength.

For the time being, aspiring to be a modern polymath who excels in various endeavors is a commendable ambition. Let's be clear: this is an ideal that not only deserves recognition but should also be pursued. A liberated individual enjoys the privilege of engaging in multiple activities at their leisure, with the freedom to pursue or relinquish them based on their disposition.

However, right now we are looking for the passage that is hidden behind the mirror, some mirror. Once you've achieved independence, you'll realize you have ample time to indulge in all your interests and passions.

Choose one, refine every detail, master its intricacies, complete exercises, delve into theory, and practice extensively. Learn the choreography so that you can execute it without the need for reference materials.

You won’t believe how good and helpful it feels to get this kind of security. Sooner than you think, you can use this new skill to not need others as much and secure a more peaceful existence.

I’ve mostly grown in the tech area, starting with electronics and moving to computers. In both areas, there seems to be more and more to learn, and you need to stay on top of things if you want to find ways to make money. Looking at job websites, you can see this with the growing list of skills and requirements just to qualify for a job. It really seems to prove this point.

The key is to stay focused on the main branches and not get lost in too many offshoots; that's what will make you really understand and master it. If, after pruning away the extras, you find some spare time, use it for activities like walking or meditating. Things that help you break out of your regular patterns.

Get really good at one thing and make money from it, even if it’s just enough to get by comfortably. Make sure you have lots of free time left over. Use this extra time not to pile on more draining tasks, but to do things that help you connect more with the real world around you.

The rest will follow.

The practices

Naturally, a comprehensive discussion on this topic cannot be achieved in just two or three paragraphs. However, I plan to dedicate not just one, but multiple posts to this matter.

It might even warrant its own newsletter.

Yoga, Tai-Chi, Chi-Kung, martial arts, or simply the stillness and silence of the early morning hour.

While this enumeration may not align precisely with my daily practices, this list should serve as a valuable starting point. You'll have ample material to delve into for any of them, and I'm confident you'll find aspects that resonate with you.

At their core, they are often different variations of the same "movements." In some way, they must all adhere to the same principles and set of principles. What is clear, at least for those who embrace them, is that with the right perspective, these movements can lead you down paths you might never have otherwise explored.

It’s natural that after your morning practices, you may find yourself overflowing with a storm of energy and a flood of ideas, all eager to be transformed into something tangible. I understand that your time is limited, as the office, or perhaps just your desk at home, awaits. However, I urge you to resist the temptation of keyboards and screens.

Don't let digital gadgets dominate these precious moments when your creativity is at its peak.

If it’s tough at the start, consider getting a nice fountain pen and a clip-top notepad, along with some paper. Write down your notes by hand, and only if you really have to, put them into a computer or phone later.

However, for those rooted in a Western mindset that often seeks logical explanations for every event, certain practices can be challenging. The pursuit of a trustworthy and sincere mentor, in whom one can place confidence, can at times be a double-edged sword. Rather than freeing us, this search might inadvertently bind us even tighter.

Coming again to those practices, for those more used to a Western way of thinking where everything needs a logical explanation, some of these methods can seem hard. Searching for a true and reliable guide or teacher can sometimes be like a two-edged sword. Instead of helping us break free, it can end up tying us down even more. Books, techniques, and all their different kinds can add to the confusion, especially when they contradict each other.

While you’re working through breaking down and building a better you, it's easy to get stuck in this complicated puzzle.

My goal is to spotlight the potential pitfalls you should be alert to, helping you remain on track in your transformative journey and achieve a clearer insight into the essence of the world.

Recognizing the distinction is crucial: it helps us sift through the illusory and engage with what's real.

It's important to understand that the illusion is our realm of existence. There's no harm in seeking joy within its confines.

However, my contention is this: comprehending its true nature, staying conscious of it, and truly experiencing it can give us a unique advantage as we live through it.

Sexuality

In this section, we will be brief for now.

But here is an outline of what will be extended in future posts. More to come later.

While obsessive restriction can accumulate positive psychic energy, it also heightens the risk of being misled by illusions.

Conversely, excessive indulgence, especially when not mindfully approached, can result in energy depletion, a loss of direction, entrapment in illusions, and potentially, failure.

After cleansing the channels that link our psyche to the world, sexual energy stands out as potentially the most powerful tool for dispelling the illusion. It enables us to function effectively both inside and outside of it, achieve our goals, and lead a fulfilling, creative life.

The world may be a mirage, but you don't have to keep telling yourself that until you believe it. Doing so would just replace one form of self-delusion with another, more stressful one. You don’t want that. Some practices can show us this fantasy clearly. Once we see it, we don’t need to force ourselves to believe it; it just becomes a part of our understanding. Interestingly, when we fully grasp this, we can still enjoy the nice parts of the illusion and wisely step back and watch when things get tough

With that, I'll wrap things up.
Until our next discussion!
